Baguio drug sting: 7 suspects nabbed, P78,800 shabu, marijuana seized

BAGUIO CITY – Seven suspected drug personalities were arrested and P78,800 worth of shabu and marijuana were seized in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera in Barangay Quirino Hill, this city, on Sunday, Sept. 4.

Gil Castro, PDEA regional director, identified the suspects as Lyca Ananayo Kimmayong, alias “Celia Kimmayong,” a high-value target of the PDEA; Nhap Gilbert Bulayang-duyan, Thum Claude Gadang Baddan, Maribel Ofiana Parica, Norilyn Bayawoc Bermudez, Jacky Bernardino, and Norben Ablania Cagang.

Castro said they had been monitoring Kimmayong's house for some time.

PDEA suspected her house to be a drug den until they proved the allegation through the 5:20 p.m. operation witnessed by Department of Justice representative Atty. Genevieve Ayochok and officials of Barangay East Quirino Hill.

Recovered from the suspects were six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing one gram worth P6,800, a block of dried marijuana weighing 600 grams valued at P72,000, assorted drug paraphernalia, several cellphones, and the buy-bust money.
