TACLOBAN CITY – Authorities dismantled a drug den and seized suspected shabu valued at P340,000 following a raid in Barangay East Awang, Calbayog City, Samar.
The suspected maintainer of the drug den, Bernadith Maghacot, and Paolo Absalon, a visitor, were arrested.
They yielded shabu weighing 54.24 grams worth P340,000. Also found in their possession were drug paraphernalia and P6,000.
Brig. Gen. Rommel Marbil lauded the operating units comprised of the police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for the successful operation.
“This successful accomplishment entails our commitment to stop the proliferation of illegal drugs anywhere in Eastern Visayas,” Marbil said.
Suspects were charged with violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
