Cong Pimentel gets new post in PDP-Laban; find out what

Surigao del Sur 2nd district Rep. Johnny Pimentel has been appointed as deputy secretary general of former ruling party, Partido Demokratiko Pilipino â€“ Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban).

No less than former President Rodrigo Duterte conferred the position to Pimentel, his fellow Mindanaoan.

This took place during the PDP-Laban national assembly Thursday, Sept. 29 where new party officers were also nominated.

On Friday, Sept. 30, Pimentel posted photos of his conferment on his Facebook, as well as a selfie with "Tatay Digong".

"Of course a meet up with the former President is not fully complete without our signature selfie," he wrote.

Pimentel is a senior member of PDP-Laban in the House of Representatives. He is the de facto spokesperson of the party in the legislative chamber.
