DPWH improves access roads to hidden haven in Nueva Ecija
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a road which is now providing tourism-related access to hidden tourist spots in Lubao, Nueva Ecija.
Armando Z. Manabat, officer-in-charge of the Nueva Ecija 1st Engineering District, said the Pinsal Fall in in Barangay Namulandayan is considered a hidden treasure of Nueva Ecija and is now being developed by the Lubao Local Government to boost its tourism industry.

“This is the main reason why the DPWH prioritizes the construction of infrastructure facilities that will help create jobs, stimulate economic activity, and support the development not only of Lupao but also of the entire province,” Manabat said.
He added that the construction of the tourism access road was started in 2017 and the ongoing improvement of its 1.234-lane kilometer section is being undertaken to provide a more convenient and safe travel experience to local and foreign tourists.
“It is very important to provide infrastructure support to our tourism sector, especially now that the industry is recovering after being hit hard by the pandemic,” Manabat said.
Local farmers also benefited from the P9.6 million road improvement project as the mobilization of goods has shortened to at least 50 percent of travel time.
