UP to conduct full face-to-face classes in 2nd semester of AY 2022-2023
The University of the Philippines (UP) announced on Thursday, Sept. 29, that it will conduct 100 percent face-to-face classes in all undergraduate courses for the second semester of Academic Year (AY) 2022-2023.

"This is complementary to the university’s adoption of hybrid and blended learning to equip students for the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and achieve educational resilience in a volatile and rapidly changing world," said UP.
The university also said that some of its constituent universities were already conducting full percent in-person classes for laboratory, studio, and practicum courses since the first semester of the current AY.

"UP Manila began holding 100% face-to-face classes for its courses in the public health disciplines as early as July 2021," UP added.
Further information about the face-to-face classes in all courses as well as the learning delivery mode for graduate programs is being finalized as per UP.
Last July 13, the Commission on Higher Education released a statement saying that they do not require all colleges and universities to implement in-person classes, and the decision to do so depends on the school administration.
