TABUK CITY -- A male visitor ended up locked up in jail after he was caught trying to smuggle out shabu inside Tabuk City District Jail on Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Josua Liban Bayado, 24, and a resident of Barangay Nambaran in this city, brought in a pair of slippers intended for a certain Gian Vincent dela Cruz, an inmate in the said jail facilities.
Upon inspection, however, jail personnel discovered one heat sealed plastic transparent sachet embedded in the slipper.
The small heat sealed plastic contained more or less 0.8 grams of shabu worth P5,440.
The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Tabuk City readily informed the Tabuk City Police Station which then arrested the male visitor.
Marking and inventory of the confiscated pieces of evidence were conducted onsite in the presence of the arrested suspect and witnessed by Janet Alagao and Aquino Perez, media representative, Marilou Cariño, DOJ Representative and Kagawad Edwin Hidalgo of Barangay Bulanao Centro.
The suspect will now be facing charges for Violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
