BACOLOD CITY – Three police officers of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) based here were promoted to colonel on Monday, Sept. 26.

They were Lt. Col. Jake Barila, Escalante police chief; Lt. Col. Roberto Indiape Jr., Sagay police chief; and Lt. Col. Anthony Grande, acting chief of the Police Community Relations (PCR) of Nocppo.
They thanked the Philippine National Police (PNP) for trusting and elevating them to the next higher ranks.
Brig. Gen. Leo Francisco, director of Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas, administered the oathtaking and donning of ranks in a ceremony at the regional headquarters in Iloilo City.
Their promotion took effect on Sept. 21 based on an order issued by the PNP in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
Francisco, in his speech, lauded the promotees, especially their families, for doing their share of sacrifice, unconditional love, and understanding, as it played a great role for their loved ones to reach their present ranks.
