CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Authorities arrested three suspected drug pushers in separate buy-bust operations in Bangued, Abra on Tuesday, Sept. 27.
Brig. Gen. Mafelino Bazar, Police Regional Office-Cordillera chief, identified the suspects as Roberto Corpuz, 52, a street-level individual, and newly identified drug personalities Alex Mendiola, 33, and Nelson Orong, 32.
Police arrested Corpuz after he sold one sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less 0.13 grams valued at P884 to a poseur-buyer.
Seized from him was another sachet of shabu weighing more or less 0.13 grams valued at P884.
Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-CAR nabbed Mendiola and Orong after selling three cling-wrapped elongated rolls containing marijuana dried leaves, stalks, and fruiting tops weighing more or less one kilo worth P120,000.
Suspects and pieces of evidence were taken to the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) for documentation and proper disposition.
They face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Acts of 2002.
