2,955 out of 4,723 pass PRC's Social Worker Licensure Exam

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Wednesday, Sept. 28, announced that 2,955 out of 4,723 passed the Social Worker Licensure Examination for Social Workers.

PRC said that the exam was given to takers in Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga this month.

Eight Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) include the Asian Social Institute, Ateneo de Davao University, Bicol University - Tabaco, Caraga State University - Butuan City, La Verdad Christian College, Leyte Normal University, Notre Dame of Marbel University, and the University of the Philippines - Diliman had a 100 percent rating.

This was followed by Bicol University - Daraga with a 99.05 percent passing percentage and the Davao del Norte State College with a 97.30 percent passing rate.

Meanwhile, Gian Paul Cajilig Salano of UP Diliman was the top-performing examinee with a rating of 88.80 percent.

The following completed the list of examinees who garnered the highest places in the exam:

PRC said that the results of the exam were released in three working days after the last day of the examination.

Meanwhile, PRC said that the schedule of online registration for the issuance of a Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration as well as the date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination will be announced later.
