Members of the Southern Police District Medical and Dental Unit (SPDMDU) helped a woman deliver her baby in her house in Pasay City on Monday, Sept. 26.
The SPDMDU team under the supervision of Col. Antonieta Aceret and Col. Marites Ramos were conducting police visibility along J.W. Diokno Boulevard in Pasay City when their attention was called by police trainees regarding a woman who was in labor inside her house.
The trainees are part of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) SAFE (Seen, Appreciated, Felt and Extraordinary), a program that aims to make the communities feel that the police are ready to immediately respond to their needs.
The woman (name withheld by the police) was able to normally deliver her baby boy with SPDMDU’s quick assistance.
The team of SPDMDU brought the mother and her newborn to Ospital ng Maynila for further medical care.
Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo, NCRPO chief, commended the SPD under the supervision of Col. Kirby John Brion Kraft for their commitment to perform extraordinary deeds.
