A vendor and a tricycle driver tagged by the police as street-level individuals (SLIs) on the drug watchlist were arrested after they yielded P102,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City on Tuesday, Sept. 27.
Col. Kirby John Brion Kraft, SPD chief, identified the suspects as Nashrodin Osmeña, 36, a vendor; and Rudy Boy Maggay, 39, tricycle driver.
Kraft said the suspects were arrested on NAIA Road corner Quirino Ave. in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque.
The SPD chief said members of the Southern Police District–Drug Enforcement Unit (SPD-DEU) conducted the entrapment operation against the suspects who were subject of complaints for their alleged illegal drug trade.
Kraft said recovered from the suspects were more or less 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000, P500 buy-bust money, and a black pouch.
He said the suspects were charged with violation of the anti-drugs law and are now detained at the SPD-DEU.
