PBBM names 4 DHSUD Usecs to expedite addressing over 6M housing backlogs

Malacañang has appointed four undersecretaries of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) to assist the national government in addressing the more than six million backlogs in housing units especially for the poor.

The DSUD confirmed the appointment of Engr. Jose Ramon P. Aliling, Roberto Juanchito T. Dispo, Henry L. Yap and lawyer Garry De Guzman.

"The appointment is for them to help carry out the department’s mandate immediately," the DSUD said.

Aliling, the first and only recipient of The Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) awardee for Civil Engineering, is the former chief executive officer and president of the Jose Aliling Construction Management Group, one of the country’s top construction management companies.

He is tasked focus on construction management, engineering, and technical requirements of DHSUD.

Aliling is an advocate for integrity and efficiency in the construction industry. He is also the past president of the Construction Project Management Association of the Philippines and a former governor of the Philippine Red Cross. Aliling graduated from the Ateneo De Manila University and obtained his Civil Engineering degree from the De La Salle University.

Dispo, on the other hand, is an investment banker and is a member of the advisory board of the Metrobank Group. He used to be the vice chairman of New San Jose Builders, Inc.

Dispo is a graduate of San Sebastian College and Pamantasan ng Lunsod ng Maynila.

Yap has held several executive positions at leading developing companies in the Philippines including Robinsons Land Corp. He was also previously involved with the Bases Conversion Development Authority. Yap is a product of the University of the Philippines.

De Guzman is a former Undersecretary at the Department of Transportation. He graduated graduated from San Beda College.
