IN PHOTOS: Super Typhoon Karding leaves trail of destruction in Central Luzon

Super typhoon "Karding" left a trail of destruction after it slammed into Central Luzon, based on the results of an aerial survey by the Philippine Army (PA) on Monday, Sept. 26.

The Army's Aviation "Hiraya" Regiment conducted an aerial reconnaissance and damage assessment flight using a Cessna 172 aircraft to determine the extent of Karding's damage in Central Luzon and here's what they saw.

Colonel Andre Santos, regiment commander, said the aerial survey was conducted around 7:20 a.m. which provided real-time information to ground commanders and civil authorities on the situation in typhoon-hit areas.

Search and rescue (SAR) and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) operations were immediately conducted to assist the typhoon victims.
