Man wearing police bull cap yields shabu in Pangasinan

CALASIAO, Pangasinan – Police arrested a 25-year-old man wearing a police bull cap after he yielded shabu in Sitio Otel, Barangay Lasip here on Saturday, Sept. 24.

The Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPO) said lawmen accosted the suspect, Arjay Mamaril, of Barangay Bued here for acting suspiciously while they were patrolling the area.

Police noticed that he was wearing the official PNP bull cap and asked him if he is a policeman but he did not reply.

Mamaril suddenly choked and spit out a small plastic sachet containing suspected shabu from his mouth weighing an estimated 0.06 grams.

He was arrested for possession of suspected shabu and usurpation of authority and taken to the Calasiao police station for proper disposition.

A case for violation of Republic Act 9165 is being prepared against the suspect.
