BAGUIO CITY – The city of Baguio has suspended Monday (Sept. 26) classes from pre-school to senior high school in both public and private schools after signal number 2 was declared in the city due to Typhoon ‘Karding.’
Acting Mayor Faustino Olowan issued an executive order for the safety and welfare of students at all learning institutions. Face-to-face and online classes for colleges and alternative learning schools are also suspended.
In Benguet, several towns have already issued an advisory declaring the suspension of classes in all levels on Monday (Sept. 26) due to typhoon 'Karding.'
La Union Governor Raphaelle Veronica ‘Rafy’ Ortega-David also issued her Executive Order No. 23-2022, ordering the suspension of classes in all levels both public and private schools in the province of La Union following the anticipated effects of the typhoon.
David said work in government offices in the province are also suspended except those offices involved in disaster and emergency response.
She encouraged the suspension of work in private companies which remains upon the discretion of the management.
