Alien nabbed for assaulting live-in partner in Pampanga

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Police arrested a Chinese national for domestic violence in Mabalacat City, Pampanga on Saturday morning, Sept. 24.

The Police Regional Office 3 identified the suspect as Ma Yichun, 24.

Initial investigation revealed that the suspect was irked after his live-in partner, 24, of Concepcion, Tarlac, refused to eat with him.

The suspect strangled her neck then dragged her to their room and pushed her against the wall.

He was arrested by authorities after she reported to the incident to the police.

PRO-3 Director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen encouraged Filipinas to report cases of physical and sexual abuse to the police.

He said foreigners who violate laws must face prosecution as consequences of their actions. "We are committed to enforcing the law without fear or favor,” he added.

Ma is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9262 or the Law Against Violence Against Women and their Children.
