AFP secures Marcos trip back to PH

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. safely arrived back to the Philippines from the United States on Sunday morning, Sept. 25, with the help of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) deployed at least four FA-50 fighter jets to escort the plane that carried Marcos within the national airspace.

The number of utilized FA-50s is worthy to note after reports came out that only three PAF FA-50s were operational due to maintenance issues.

The presidential flight arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 at 6:09 a.m., according to reports.

Lt. Gen. Bartolome Vicente Bacarro, AFP Chief of Staff, participated in the conduct of the arrival honors for Marcos and the rest of the Philippine delegation.

Marcos came from a six-day working visit to US after he participated in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
