7 suspects arrested, 2 drug dens dismantled in Cebu City, Bohol

CEBU CITY – Anti-narcotics agents dismantled two drug dens and arrested seven individuals in separate operations here and Pangalo, Bohol on Thursday, Sept. 22.

In Barangay Sambag I, Cebu City, Alex Lanuza was arrested in a suspected drug den that he allegedly maintained.

Caught in the drug den were Jojopith P. Rosialda, 27; Rigel Nacua, 46, and Annaliza L. Abastas, 46.

The operation was conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas (PDEA 7) Cebu Provincial Office and Regional Intelligence Unit 7.

Confiscated during the operation was six 11 grams of suspected shabu weighing around 11 grams with an estimated market value of P74,800.

Around the same time in Panglao, a drug den was also dismantled while P74,800 of suspected shabu was seized.

Arrested was the alleged drug den maintainer identified as Herminiano Salan Jr., 20, jobless.

Law enforcers also arrested John David Ysalena, 32, and Mark Gabica Goudin, 36, who were caught inside the drug den during the raid, said Leia Alcantara, information office of PDEA 7.

Cases for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 15 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects, said Alcantara.

Alcantara said there will be no let up in the PDEA 7 campaign to dismantling drug dens in Central Visayas.

“Drug dens are breeding ground for violence and criminality and disrupt peace and order in the community. That’s dismantling drug dens are considered high-impact operations,” Alcantara said.
