The Legal Network for Truthful Elections (Lente) has urged the public to support an online petition rejecting the postponement of the December 2022 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

"We urge everyone to support our call to push through with the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections in Dec. 5, 2022," the poll watchdog group said in a statement.
Lente issued the call following the recent movement at the House of Representatives' 264-6-3 vote on its third and final reading of House Bill 4673, which will postpone the Dec. 5, 2022 BSKE.
The group said BSKE should pish through as scheduled as it has been long overdue.
"Since 2016, Barangay elections have been postponed thrice. The December 2022 Elections should have been held in May 2020," it said.
Lente said the public may sign the online petition at change.org (https://chng.it/sDK9JJnT).
More than 300 individuals have so far signed the petition.
