Father, son wanted in Leyte for murder nabbed in Laguna

CALAUAN, Laguna – A father and son wanted for murder and attempted murder in Leyte were arrested in Barangay Dayap here, police reported Thursday, Sept. 22.

Col. Randy Glenn Silvio, Laguna police director, identified the suspects as Felimon Palconit, 69, and his son, Richard, 34, fish vendor.

Police said Richard was arrested first on Wednesday, Sept. 21, and Felimon in a follow-up operation on Thursday, Sept. 22, on warrants of arrest for three counts of attempted murder and one count of murder dated July 17, 2019 issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 36 in Carigara, Leyte.

The court recommended a P120,000 bail for each attempted murder case while none for the murder charge.

The suspects are under the custody of the Calauan Municipal Police Station.
