2 minors placed under police custody after beating, stabbing student in QC


Quezon City Police District Director Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III announced on Thursday, Sept. 22, that two minors were placed under their custody after beating and stabbing a 14-year-old student in front of a school in Brgy. Bungad, Quezon City on Wednesday night, Sept, 21.

According to the QCPD, the victim was waiting in front of Juan Luna High School at around 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday when the two minors, both male, 13 and 15 years old, approached him, punched him, hit his head with a baseball bat, and stabbed him.

Police said the victim’s sister witnessed the incident.

The victim was immediately rushed to the Quezon City General Hospital (QCGH) by responding Barangay San Antonio public safety officers (BPSO).

The barangay safety officers conducted a follow-up operation to locate the suspects. The minors were brought to the QCGH were they were positively identified by the victim.

The incident was reported to the QCPD Masambong Police Station at around 10:20 p.m. on the same day.

According to the police, they coordinated with the Quezon City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) for the proper disposition of the minors.

“Katuwang ng pulisya ang ating mga BPSOs kung kaya’t pinupuri ko sila sa kanilang pag-ganap ng tungkulin ay agad na nahuli ang mga salarin sa pananaksak sa kaawa-awang binatilyo, ang pagkakadakip sa kanila ay isa lamang patunay na walang puwang sa ating lungsod ang anumang karahasan dahil sinisiguro namin sa inyo na kapag kayo ay gumawa ng ilegalidad, kayo ay mananagot sa batas (Our BPSOs are working with the police, so I commend them for performing their duty in apprehending the perpetrators in the stabbing of the teenager. Their arrest is proof that our city has no place for any form of violence because we assure you that if you commit any illegal act, you will be held accountable by the law),” the QCPD director said.
