UAAP to give way for FIBA fifth window

The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) has announced the schedule adjustments made for the upcoming Season 85 to give way for the fifth window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

Gilas Pilipinas, which will field a mix of veteran and amateur players, will go up against Jordan on Nov. 10 followed by Saudi Arabia on Nov. 13.

To help the nationals prepare for the window, the collegiate league will take a short break with the last playing date set on Nov. 6 and will resume on Nov. 16.

With University of the Philippines' Carl Tamayo, De La Salle's Kevin Quiambao and Ateneo's Ange Kouame among those who were invited for the Gilas squad in the fourth window, the UAAP is planning to get more involved once the national team calls for more reinforcements.

This season will also adopt the playing schedule of Season 84 where games will take place every Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday.
