Pusher yields P498,000 marijuana in Quezon buy-bust

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Police arrested a suspected drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Purok Riverside, Barangay 1, on Wednesday, Sept. 21, in this city.

Quezon police provincial director Col. Ledon Monte identified the suspect as John Dave Ariles, 22, of Purok Riverside.

The suspect yielded 1.3 kilos of dried marijuana with an estimated street value of P498,192, marked money, and a cellular phone.

Ariles was arrested by the Lucena police drug enforcement unit, Quezon provincial drug enforcement unit, PDEA-Quezon, Quezon Maritime Police Station, CIDG-Quezon, and Regional Intelligence Unit-Quezon.

A criminal case for violation of Republic Act  9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect.

Ariles is under the custody of the Lucena City Police Station.
