DPWH acquires P32-M equipment for road maintenance in Metro Manila
In a bid to boost the performance and efficiency of roadside workers, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) acquired P32 million worth of new maintenance equipment to be utilized in Metro Manila.

DPWH-National Capital Regional (NCR) Director Nomer Abel Canlas led the distribution of 10 units each of air compressor with a jackhammer, paint spray gun with air compressor, and heavy-duty steel cart for storage to nine district engineering offices in NCR.
Aside from updating the equipment, Canlas said the new tools and machinery will improve the capacity of road maintenance activities and finish the task in a short period of time.
According to Canlas, the newly acquired equipment will be a big help for cleaning saturated streets and corner roads in Metro Manila especially during the rainy season.
“Power sweepers have also arrived and will be distributed to DPWH implementing offices. I assure everyone that this is only the start of our initiative of upgrading and modernizing the facilities and resources in the region to deliver more efficient, quality service to the public,” said Canlas.
