SSS promises salary loan approval in '60 seconds + 5 clicks'

The Social Security System (SSS) said on Monday, Sept. 19, that salary loans of self-employed, voluntary, and overseas Filipino worker members can now be approved within "60 seconds + 5 clicks."

This is in line with the state-run pension fund's 65th founding anniversary on Sept. 1, said SSS.

To apply, the said members need to log in to their My.SSS account through the SSS website or mobile application, click "Apply for Salary Loan" and fill out the required information, proceed to confirmation or approval of the next steps, and after 60 seconds the applicant will receive a notification in their inbox confirming the loan approval.

However, the agency noted that the loan application of an employee-member needs to be certified by the employer first before approval.

It also reminded the public to always comply with the loan payment amortization using SSS' Payment Reference Number.
