The Quezon City government recorded more than 1,500 active Covid-19 cases in the city on Sunday, Sept. 18.
Based on the data released by the City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CESU) on Sunday, the city has listed 1,546 (0.6 percent of total cases) Covid-19 active cases out of its 280,411 total cases.
Among the 142 barangays in the city, Barangay Batasan Hills logged the most number of active cases with 70 cases, followed by Barangay Commonwealth with 55, and Barangay Kaligayahan with 48.
Meanwhile, there are 13 barangays with only two active cases each, eight barangays with one case each, and 16 with no cases recorded.
The data also showed that the city has 276, 575 Covid-19 patients who recovered from the disease (98.6 percent of total cases) and 2,290 deaths (0.8 percent).
The city government has continued its “QCProtekTODO” Covid-19 first ,second, and booster doses vaccination drive in some malls in the city where residents who got their first booster shots received five kilograms of rice.
It also encouraged residents to register for their vaccinations through its website (https://qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph/qcvaxeasy).
As of Sept. 17, the city has recorded a total of 2,578,082 fully vaccinated individuals including adults and minors, while 1,405,231 first and second booter shots were also administered.
