The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) said the conduct of the Sept. 17 Maguindanao plebiscite was orderly and organized.

In a statement, Fr. Julius Heruela, PPCRV's Regional Coordinator for Visayas, said the plebiscite committee had prepared well in posting the voter's list, in receiving voters and in observing health protocols.
Fr. Dave Procalla, PPCRV's Regional Coordinator for Mindanao and BARMM, said no crowding was observed and voters were orderly.
The poll watchdog group said violence and intimidation were not observed and the Philippine National Police, Army, Marines and even the Fire Brigade were visibly mobilized to maintain peace and order.
Fr. Heruela, Arwin Serrano, PPCRV's National Coordinator; were part of a roving team headed by Fr. Procalla.
PPCRV fielded eight roving teams which monitored all 36 municipalities of Maguindanao.
The recently concluded Maguindanao plebiscite was resounding in its decision to divide Maguindanao into Maguindanao del Norte and Maguindanao del Sur.
A total of 712,856 voters cast their ballots, representing the largest voter participation in the province. Of these, 712,857 voted "yes", an overwhelming 99.27 percent of the voting populace.
In the 12 municipalities of Maguindanao Del Norte and the 24 municipalities of Maguindanao del Sur, 99.2 percent and 99.3 percent affirmed the province's division, respectively.
