In his message on the 122nd anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service, Marcos emphasized the crucial role the CSC is playing in the betterment of public service. Thus, he encouraged them to continue doing their best in performing their duties as civil servants.

He said that government employees hold a significant role in attaining his administration's goals and aspirations for the Filipino nation as the CSC continually provides competent civil servants in the bureaucracy.

Your role in the government is truly important as you ensure that our leaders and officials in the government are deserving and competent)," Marcos said in a recorded video posted on Monday, Sept. 19.

May you continue to intensify and improve your supervision of the entire process that ensures efficiency of the government and all public offices)," Marcos added.

The President expressed joy to be able to celebrate the 122nd anniversary of the CSC, although he is currently in the United States participating in the high-level discussions at the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

Presently headed by Chairperson Karlo Alexei Nograles, the CSC was established in 1900 by the Second Philippine Commission. It is the central personnel agency of the Philippine Government “that is responsible for the policies, plans, and programs concerning all civil service employees”.
