'Habagat' to bring rains over Metro Manila, western parts of Central, Southern Luzon

Metro Manila and the western parts of Central and Southern Luzon will experience rains caused by the southwest monsoon or “habagat,” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Monday, Sept. 19.
Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may prevail over Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and the northern portion of Palawan including Kalayaan Islands.
PAGASA warned against possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
The public is also advised to stay vigilant against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms, which are often accompanied by sudden heavy rains, lightning, thunder, gusty winds, and sometimes hail.
Although there is no gale warning that is in effect over the country’s seaboards, PAGASA still advised fisherfolk and seafarers to remain vigilant as moderate seas may prevail over extreme Northern Luzon.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said the rest of the archipelago will have slight to moderate seas.
