ZAMBOANGA CITY – A Grade 12 student was wounded after he was stabbed by a Grade 7 student at the Zamboanga City High School Main in Barangay Tetuan here on Monday, Sept. 19.
The 19-year-old Grade 12 student was allegedly stabbed by the 18-year-old Grade 7 student in the arm with an ice pick inside Building E of the Zamboanga City High School Main due to a feud over a barangay basketball game participated in by the two students.
The wounded student was taken to a local hospital while parents of both students were called to Zamboanga City Police Station 6 for questioning.
Police refused to reveal the names of the students pending investigation.
Zamboanga City High School officials have yet to explain how a student was able to bring an ice pick inside the school premises.
