BACOLOD CITY -- A couple was shot dead in front of their four-year-old daughter in Barangay Rafaela Barera, Sagay City, Negros Occidental on Saturday, Sept. 17.

The victims were identified as Hanna Grace and Norbert Simon Bukaling of Brgy. Rafaela Barera.
Sagay police chief Maj. Roberto Indiape said the couple, along with their daughter, were riding a motorcycle on their way home.
Indiape said that Norbert fetched his wife in Escalante City when they were allegedly tailed by the suspect identified as 33-year-old Niño Andrin of Barangay Paraiso.
Andrin then allegedly hit the couple’s motorcycle, causing them to fall down into the ground.
Andrin allegedly shot the couple, and fled, leaving the child unharmed.
Police recovered from the crime scene four fired cartridge cases of .45 caliber pistol, and live ammunition.
Andrin was arrested in a follow-up operation at his house after he was identified by a witness. But, police did not recover a firearm.
Indiape said they are looking into a love triangle or jealousy as possible motives behind the killing, since Hanna Grace allegedly had a previous relationship with the suspect.
Indiape said that Andrin denied the allegations against him.
