A total of 500 beneficiaries of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Displaced/Disadvantage Workers (TUPAD) program in Pasay City underwent orientation about their duties in communities last Friday, Sept. 16.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the TUPAD beneficiaries will be deployed to different barangays to render community service.
Rubiano said each TUPAD beneficiary will receive P5,700 after the completion of their 10-day work.
The mayor was joined by Vice Mayor Ding del Rosario, Department of Employment and Labor (DOLE-NCR) field officer Atty.Olive Obrero Samson, TUPAD NCR focal officer Chloe de Guzman, Pasay Employment and Services Office (PESO) officer-in-charge Filipinas Rosario Sampang, and PESO focal officer Edith Felipe during the orientation at the Cuneta Astrodome.
Rubiano said the TUPAD program is being offered to residents who are badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
