Heavy traffic seen due to road repairs this weekend – DPWH
Motorists may experience slight up to heavy traffic this weekend in Metro Manila due to road closures.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) released an advisory on Friday, Sept. 16, to inform the public of the resumption of their ocular repairs of roads in some component roads along Manila, Quezon City, Makati City, and Pasig City.
The blocking of roads will be from 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, until 5 a.m. Monday next week, Sept. 19.
DPWH National Capital Regional (NCR) Director Nomer Abel P. Canlas said that the reblocking and repair covers three sections of EDSA Northbound from Santolan MRT Station, bus lane; Cubao Bus Station, second lane from the sidewalk; and after Aurora to Kamuning Road, third lane from the sidewalk (intermittent section).
Road rehabilitation activities will also be undertaken along EDSA Southbound in Quezon City, including in front of the GMA Network Building, U-turn slot service road; Kamuning Road intersection, first block service road; and from Balingasa Creek to Oliveros Footbridge.
Other roads in Quezon City affected by the reblocking are Fairview Avenue Southbound, near Mindanao Avenue Exit, first lane from the center island; Fairview Avenue Northbound, after cornering Yakal Street, first lane from the center island; Cloverleaf Northbound, from EDSA to NLEX segment, outer lane; Quirino Highway, before Manila North Diversion Road (MNDR) Flyover, second inner lane; and Roosevelt Avenue, near M.H. Del Pilar Street, outer lane.
In Manila, the repair works will cover the southbound outer lane of Mel Lopez Boulevard, fronting North Harbour Center Gate 2 to Vitas Bridge.
Portions of C-5 in Makati and Pasig will undergo similar activities, particularly the southbound second lane in Makati City, service road in front of Global Oil Gas Station, and truck lane in Pasig City.
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes due to traffic build-up near the construction areas.
