7 nabbed for illegal gambling in Ilocos Norte

SAN NICOLAS, Ilocos Norte – The Philippine National Police arrested seven persons, including a beneficiary of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), for illegal gambling here on Thursday, Sept. 15.

Suspects were caught in the act of playing cards with bet money in a nipa hut in a rice field at 3:15 p.m.

They yielded a deck of playing cards and bet money in different denominations amounting to P5,270.

Suspects were taken to the police station here for documentation.

The 4Ps member will be delisted for using his financial assistance for illegal gambling.
