PROUD BROTHER! James Reid at sister's school graduation

Despite his busy schedule, actor-singer James Reid made sure to attend half-sister Chantal Calicdan's school graduation ceremony recently.

Chantal, who's part of James' Careless Music, just earned a degree in Business Administration major in Marketing Management at the Lyceum of the Philippines University in Cavite.

On Instagram, she shared photos as with a video taken at the event.

"Today's the day. (graduation cap emoji)," she wrote. "From a kid who wanted to be an Astronaut. A high school student who was always the group leader. To an engineering student who kinda gave up. A marketing student who ended up loving the course and the field. And now a career woman (who doesn't even know what is sleep) in the music and business industry who just got that diploma."

"Cheers, I made it down the hill. Now onto the next mountains across the oceans," she added.

One snap shows Chantal proudly holding her diploma.

There is also a photo of her with brother James and their mother.

James was all smiles holding a bouquet of flowers.

In a video, he is heard happily shouting when his sister's name was mentioned.

James was also the one documenting the said moment.

September last year, Chantal penned a short but sweet birthday message for her brother.

It read: "You have influenced my life in such a positive way; words cannot express my appreciation. Happy Birthday, Rockstar!"

Some years ago, she introduced James to her followers.

"You know him very well cuz he's famous, he's gwapo and hot, he's a good singer and dancer.

"You might also knew him cuz of the lies and issues thrown at him.

"The thing is he's not what you think about those issues, you might think that "oh kapatid niya kasi siyempre pagtatakpan niya". You are very wrong.

"Being his sibling is probably one of the things i'm grateful for, he's not just James Reid, he's my kuya, the one who fulfilled the responsibilities of my dad who left me, that one guy who cares truly for me, who never rejected me, the one who taught me how to face my fears, the guy who's full of hope and faith. Yes we're just half siblings, but as long as his blood runs through my veins he is my kuya. And I will always truly Love him for that."
