If the World Health Organization (WHO) is optimistic about the current state of the Covid-19 pandemic, then so is Malacañang.

"If the World Health Organization is optimistic then so are we in our outlook to recovering from this pandemic," Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said in a press briefing on Thursday, Sept. 15.
This after WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus made a statement that "we can see the finish line" of the pandemic that hit the world in 2020.
Ghebreyesus said "we're not there yet but the end is in sight," adding that "we are in a winning position."
The Philippines is now on its early stages of recovery, particularly in the economic side, from the devastating pandemic.
Just three days ago, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. approved the voluntary wearing of face masks outdoors.
This, Angeles said, is also pursuant to the country's economic recovery program.
