A taxi driver was found dead by the police inside the cab that he was driving along Anonas Extension, Brgy. Sikatuna Village, in Quezon City on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 13.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified the victim as Raul Buenaobra, 51, from Taytay, Rizal.
Initial investigation disclosed that Cpl. Jesus Tigalo, who is assigned to the QCPD office of District Director Administration, was on his way to their headquarters in Camp Karingal, Quezon City when he saw the lifeless victim with blood on his mouth and body while inside his vehicle at around 2:15 p.m. There were also blood stains found on the street.
Responding officers from the QCPD Anonas Station (PS 9) said a witness presented a closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage of the area where Buenaobra was seen vomiting on the road at around 1:44 p.m.
It was also seen that his two passengers alighted from his vehicle and transferred to another taxi cab.
Police said that the blood allegedly came from the victim's mouth and there were no stab or gunshot wounds found in his body.
The PS 9 said the incident was turned over to the QCPD Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) for investigation.
