LAGAWE, Ifugao – A 42-year-old businessman was gunned down in Sitio Balonglong, Umilag, Lamut, Ifugao on Sunday, Sept. 11.
The victim was identified as Jayban Banhan Ellag, 42, alias “Jesus,” a resident of Sitio Balonglong.

The victim was declared dead on arrival in a hospital.
The Ifugao Provincial Police Office condemned the incident and vowed to arrest the assailants.
“We convey our deepest condolences and sympathies to the families and friends of the victim in their time of grief. We are exerting a thorough investigation for the identification of the suspects and filing appropriate charges,” said Col. James Mangili, Ifugao police chief.
