ILOILO CITY – Three men with P7.5 million in cash to pay a debt were gunned down while their companion was unscathed in Estancia, Iloilo on Wednesday, Sept. 14.

Police identified the victims as JP Bosque, Floyd Fernandez, and Mark Libao, all residents here.
Investigation showed that lone survivor Jebron Parojinog of Estancia was driving a white sport utility vehicle (SUV) owned by Bosque with Bosque, Fernandez, and Libao onboard when gunmen waylaid them in Barangay Villa Panian.
Parojinog told Estancia police led by Lt. Joebert Amado that they had P7.5 million in cash inside the vehicle to be handed over to someone as debt payment when they were shot.
Parojinog is a business partner and friend of Bosque and co-owned a fishing boat that was sold to help Bosque pay off a debt. Parojinog told Estancia police that he does not know who Bosque owes money to.
Bosque, Fernandez, and Libao travelled to Estancia from Iloilo City to get the money from Parojinog.
The Scene-of-the-Crime Operatives (SOCO) of the Philippine National Police recovered cartridges for caliber 9mm at the crime scene.
Col. Adrian Acollador has ordered a through probe on the incident.
The Iloilo police chief wants the Estancia Municipal Police Station to expedite the gathering of evidence to identify the suspects.
