131 AICS beneficiaries set to receive financial assistance in Parañaque
The office of Parañaque First District Rep. Edwin Olivarez announced that a total of 131 beneficiaries of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) assistance to individuals in crisis situation (AICS) will receive the financial support on Thursday, Sept.15.
Olivarez said the distribution of the financial assistance will be held at the Old San Dionisio Gym in Barangay San Dionisio from 7 a.m. to noon.
The congressman told all listed beneficiaries posted on his Facebook page "to bring the Barangay Indigency Certificate of the claimant that reflects the purpose ‘DSWD requirements’ to facilitate the orderly release of the assistance."
The AICS is a DSWD program that grants burial, financial and medical assistance requests filed with the First Congressional District Office located at the second floor of the Parañaque City Hall.
Olivarez said the amount may not be that large but it still shows the city government is there to help Parañaqueños who are in need.
He also said beneficiaries came from both Districts 1 and 2 of Parañaque, adding that the government does not discriminate based on political subdivisions but provides help based on actual and urgent needs of the population.
