Operatives of the Northern Police District (NPD) District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) seized over P1 million worth of alleged shabu and arrested two drug personalities in a buy-bust operation at BMBA Compound, 3rd Avenue, Brgy. 120 in Caloocan City on Sunday, Sept. 11.
Police said the suspects -- Myrna Malingin, 44, and Catherine Mae Malingin, 20, both residents of Barangay 120, Caloocan City -- were nabbed at about 3:30 a.m.
Confiscated from them were two pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet and two pieces of knotted transparent plastic bag, all said to be containing shabu.
A black floral pouch and the buy-bust money were also recovered.
The alleged shabu weighed 150 grams with a value of P1,020,000, police said.
The arrested suspects will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) in relation to Section 26 (Attempt or Conspiracy) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), and R.A 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms).
