NPA leader busted in Surigao del Norte

BUTUAN CITY (PNA) – Police have arrested a top New People’s Army leader in Surigao del Norte.

The Surigao del Norte Provincial Police Office (SDNPPO) reported Monday, Sept. 12, that she is Nenita Generalao Dolera, 31, secretary of NPA Guerrilla Front 19, Sub-Regional Committee Southland, Northeastern Mindanao Regional Committee.

“Dolera, who has three standing arrest warrants, was apprehended on Sept. 10 in Purok Bilang-Bilang, Barangay Taft, Surigao City,” the SDNPPO said.

Dolera has an arrest warrant for attempted murder issued on July 29, 2021 and another attempted murder case issued on Jan. 7, 2022 by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 40 in Tandag City in Surigao del Sur.

She is also facing a frustrated murder case in an arrest warrant issued on July 22, 2021, by the RTC Branch 7 in Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.

Dolera was arrested by the combined forces of the intelligence division of the Police Regional Office in the Caraga region, the SDNPPO, together with the Surigao City Police Station, the Philippine Coast Guard in Surigao del Norte, the 41st Military Intelligence Company, and the Army 401st Infantry Brigade.
