Malacañang said there is still "no information" on whether the President will hold a birthday celebration in the palace or not. Either way, he will "mark it."

"I have no information as to whether or not there’s going to be a birthday celebration. However, we can safely assume that the President is going to mark it," Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said in a press briefing Monday, Sept. 12.

Marcos will celebrate his 65th birthday Tuesday, just over two months after assuming the presidency.

One thing's for sure, Marcos will remember his special day, Angeles said.

"How it’s going to be celebrated we’ll be a matter to announce at a later date," the Press Secretary said.

While there is yet to be an official announcement on how the Chief Executive will remember his birthday, he is expected to start his day early.

Marcos is expected to attend the nationwide simultaneous bamboo and tree planting kick off ceremony in San Mateo, Rizal.

He will deliver a speech there before witnessing the ceremonial tree-planting.

Two birthday celebrations have been held by the Marcos family since the President took office in June.

Last month, friends and the Marcoses surprised First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on her 63rd birthday. Before this, the first family also threw a party for former First Lady Imelda Marcos on her 93rd birthday, two days after her son took his oath as the country's 17th President in July.

On Sunday, Sept. 11, they also celebrated the 105th birth anniversary of late former president Ferdinand Marcos Sr. in their hometown in Ilocos Norte.
