The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Monday, Sept. 12, a total of 15,379 new Covid-19 cases in the past week.

According to DOH's weekly case bulletin, average daily cases are at 2,197 which is 10 percent lower than cases from Aug. 29 to Sep. 4.
DOH also recorded 12 cases tagged under severe and critical. Currently, there are 727 severe and critical admissions which is 9.6 percent of total Covid-19 admissions.
On the other hand, 594 or 23.9 percent out of 2,485 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds are being used while 5,925 out of 21,020 non-ICU beds are being utilized.
Meanwhile, DOH said that it recorded 300 more deaths due to Covid-19 during the past week. Of this, 21 occurred on Aug. 29 to Sept. 11.
In its breakdown, DOH said that 19 occurred in September 2022, 30 in August 2022, 41 in November 2021, 154 in October 2021, 39 in September 2021, one in April 2021, one in September 2020, six in August 2020, eight in July 2020, and one in June 2020.
Regarding vaccination, a total of 72,770,721 individuals have been fully-vaccinated while 18,552,043 have received booster doses.
Presently, according to DOH, the term fully vaccinated still means completing the primary series of COVID-19 vaccines either through a two-dose vaccine or one-dose such as Janssen.
