Cagayan de Oro City 2nd district Rep. Rufus Rodriguez was among the lucky House of Representatives members who got to visit MalacaÃ±ang on Friday, Sept. 9.

Rodriguez made the most of it by having some one-on-one time with the man himself, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

Rodriguez's official Facebook uploaded several photos of the Palace visit, including some that showed the Mindanao congressman and the President locked in what appeared to be a serious conversation.

But what did the two officials talk about? The same Facebook post provided an insight.

"Rep. Rodriguez expressed his gratitude to PBBM for the invitation and pledged to support him in his legislative agenda. He likewise thanked the President for his pronouncements on the areas of tourism development, infrastructure projects particularly the Mindanao railway, and the security of the exclusive economic zone in the West Philippine Sea," it read.

Rodriguez, a veteran lawmaker, chairs the House Committee on Constitutional Amendments.
