2 men caught with P2-M shabu in Talisay City, Cebu

CEBU CITY – Police seized packs of suspected shabu amounting to at least P2 million from two men in a buy-bust operation in Talisay City, Cebu on Friday, Sept. 9.

The suspects were identified as John Ian Amigable, 22, and Jonathan Alas-as, 25.

The Talisay City Police Station-Drug Enforcement Unit arrested the suspects at past 9 p.m. A .45 caliber pistol was found in Amigable’s possession, police said.

Police said Amigable was arrested in March 2019 for illegal drug charges. He was released last May after availing of a plea bargaining agreement.

Amigable was capable of disposing of 300 to 500 grams of shabu a week, police added.

Alas-as served as Amigable’s trusted man in the illegal drugs trade, police bared.

Jonathan was arrested last April after he was charged with robbery. He was released from jail after his case was dismissed.
