Man yields loose firearm, P204,000 worth of shabu in Negros police raid
BACOLOD CITY -- A man was arrested after an unlicensed firearm and illegal drugs were found in his possession during a raid in Barangay La Granja, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental on Wednesday, Aug. 31.

Kene Mañoso, 41, of Barangay La Granja, allegedly yielded a .45 caliber pistol, two magazines and 16 ammunitions, and 30 grams of shabu worth P204,000, a weighing scale, and drug paraphernalia.
Police Lt. Col. Lowell Garinganao, La Carlota police chief, said a search warrant for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition was implemented against Mañoso after they received information that he was allegedly involved in gun-running activities and illegal drugs.
Mañoso, a cock breeder, was charged for violations of Republic Act (RA) 10591 or Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Law, and RA 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
