Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-9 chief Police Col. John Francis Encinareal said the warrants were served to Mujir A. Yada during “Oplan: Pagtugis/Salikop” by the CIDG and Sulu police.

Yada was originally served a warrant of arrest for murder last June after he and his brother, Ben Ahaddi Quirino, an ASG-sub-leader, surrendered to the military.

The brothers were charged with murder for the decapitation of Canadian tourists Robert Hall and John Ridsdel after they were kidnapped together with Kjartan Sekkingstad, a Norwegian, and Filipina partner Marites Flor in Samal Island in 2015.

Ben is also detained at the Sulu Provincial Jail for several counts of kidnap-for-ransom and murder charges when he was slapped with additional warrants for murder and frustrated murder on Aug. 22.

The brothers were involved in several kidnapping and bombing incidents in Sulu and were suspects in the 2019 bombing of the Jolo Cathedral in Jolo.
