Laguna buy-bust: P1.1-M shabu seized, 2 drug pushers held

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – Police seized shabu worth P1.1 million and arrested two suspected drug pushers in Barangay Looc in this city Tuesday, August 9.

Suspects were identified as Mirsuari Darang Jr., 24, and Makikarim Sabuyogan, 18, residents of Barangay Looc.

They were arrested after they sold suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer.

Police Col. Cecilio Ison Jr., Laguna police provincial director, said local police conducted the buy-bust operation on Kalantas St. at 2:03 a.m.

Shabu weighing 165 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of P1.1 million, one sling bag, and buy-bust money were recovered from them.

Darang was tagged as a high-value individual while Sabuyogan was listed as a street-level individual, Ison added.

Suspects are under the custody of the Calamba police and have been charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act 2002.
