P1.2-M shabu seized in Negros Oriental buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY – A 35-year-old suspected drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Sitio Ogahong, Barangay Palinpinon, Valencia, Negros Oriental Friday, August 5.

Police identified the suspect as Don Emilio Cariño, 35, of Barangay Batinguel, Dumaguete City.

Cariño was listed in the database as a high-value individual, police said.

Seized from him were 180 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,224,000.

The operation was led by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Provincial Intelligence Unit, along with the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-Central Visayas and Valencia Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas.

Meanwhile, ten persons were also arrested here and Negros Occidental over the weekend in separate buy-bust operations.

Seized from them were suspected shabu totaling P401,200.
